The National Curriculum for English
We are dedicated to support you and your child with the appropriate learning and will use our considerable knowledge and first hand experience to achieve this.
Our service starts from the moment you call or email. We want to discover more about the type of learning you are looking for, including preferred subjects areas, specific curriculum interests, and ESL (English as a second language) along with any extra curricular you might require. Whether you want direct learning access or certified courses, we can acquire any form of remote learning, albeit long term or short term, as we have the kind of expertise to offer a personalised experience with the knowledge and reputation to deliver only the very finest tailor-made courses to our clients, no matter who you are.
Preferred student age
Secondary school (12-17)
Undergraduates (17-22)
Adults (23+)
One to One Tuition
Benefits
Highly focused. Our one to one sessions are highly focused and planned around our student's learning needs and goals. Teachers are able to provide students with feedback immediately and work at the students own pace.
A tutor to match specific learning needs. We have tutors who are experts in their field. You will be allocated to a tutor who has the skills/knowledge to ensure you make rapid progress and feel comfortable attending the sessions.
Increased confidence. Students are able to work at their own pace and ask questions freely without worrying about other members of the group. This helps to build confidence which will transfer into the classroom environment.
Details of Class
We invite both parents and students (depending on age) to attend an online session for a free initial assessment in line with the current National Curriculum. Depending on the outcome of the assessment we will recommend a service which meets their individual learning needs and goals. We recognise that every learner is unique and that for some students small group tuition is not the most effective method to ensure they make adequate progress. In these circumstances, we can recommend one to one tuition with a tutor who matches your specific learning needs and style.
Key Indicators
You are not achieving the expected standard for your age. Small groups have not been effective in the past and they work better on a one to one basis.
You have a large learning gap to bridge and/or a short space of time which requires highly focused sessions to support you in making adequate progress.
Group Tuition
Benefits
Small teacher to student ratios enabling us to provide individualised and focused sessions to ensure rapid progress.
Increased feedback. Students will receive more personalised and frequent feedback than they would in a typical classroom environment.
Increased self-confidence. Students feel more comfortable raising questions in small group settings. Students can also pre-learn concepts before they cover them in school giving them the confidence and skills to contribute in class discussions.
Reduced pressure. One to one sessions are highly focused and for some students this intense environment is not conducive for learning. Most of our students prefer the small group approach as they are able to communicate with their peers and build new and positive friendships whilst learning.
Details of Class
We use a small group approach of no more than 8 students for KS4 and 6 students for KS3. We invite parents and their child to attend a remote session for a free initial assessment in line within the current National Curriculum. Depending on the outcome of the assessment we will recommend a service which meets their individual learning needs and goals. Although sessions are delivered in small groups they are tailored to the individual needs of each student. We re-assess all of our students each term to ensure that they are making adequate progress and to ensure our lesson plans remain relevant to each students learning goals.
Key Indicators
You are working beyond the national standard for your age and you feel you are not being sufficiently challenged in school. This can sometimes, although not always, lead to negative behaviour in class, resulting to a loss of interest in your learning.
You are lacking in confidence. This may be in a specific subject area or topic. Due to large class sizes, you may be reluctant to ask questions resulting to you feeling anxious and worried about attending school.
You are not achieving the expected standard for your age. You work better in smaller groups.
