Leanne is an artist and lecturer based in the North West of England. She explores storytelling that reimagines concepts of identity, reality, and fantasy. Primarily working with sound, photography, and artist books, she crafts narratives delving into how our identities are shaped by the private and public spaces we occupy, and the blurred boundaries among the landscapes in which we find ourselves.
One of her recent collaborations, Dawn Chorus, with Urban Wilderness and Keele University, employs sound as a medium for documentation. It serves as both a tool and a listening exercise, capturing recordings of the collision between culture and nature within an urban landscape to promote ecological awareness.
Leanne currently holds the position of Programme Leader for BA(Hons) Creative Art & Design Practice at Leek School of Art, University of Derby. Additionally, she serves as an Associate Lecturer of Fine Art at the University of Central Lancashire.
Leanne is the founder of Lonely Stones Press.
