Existing or coming before in time, order, or importance…
Artists are questioning and exploring photography as a research tool for developing work.
Presented is a selection of work that explores the relationship between 6 artists using photography as a starting point from which further work is developed.
The work demonstrates the pre existence of an initial ‘happening’ that is no longer a necessity for the future project outcome. The photographs displayed will no longer be visible in the outcome of each individual’s project, however will be extant in the context of process.
This black and white photography is a necessary by-product of another outcome, but for the purpose of Prior, should be read as the outcome or as a series of notes.

To Be Announced. Second year is in progress, we are experimenting, and finding / developing a longer-term project while simultaneously trying to position a practice within the creative industries.
At this stage, nothing is to be announced. Presented are photographs, prints, political statement, sound installation and a book shop (books available to buy prices available on enquiry). The work, as a whole describes the distinct nature of the Drawing and Image Making course, here at UCLan.
The exhibition is monochromatic. The viewer is left to consider colour and meaning, in relation to each piece. Proofs, drafts and works-in-progress are often devoid of colour.
